The PinkTree Foundation Ethos
Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 4, Verse 29
apāne juhvati prāṇaṁ prāṇe ’pānaṁ tathāpare prāṇāpāna-gatī ruddhvā prāṇāyāma-parāyaṇāḥ
In this shloka, Shri Krishna provides more detail around the use of praanaayaam as a form of yajnya. Praanas are the life energies within us that enable all our bodily functions including breathing, digestion, circulation and so on. Moreover, they function as the link between the mind and the body. We know that if our mind is upset all the time, our body develops psychosomatic illnesses due to the praanaas linking the mind and the body.
In praanaayaam, one regulates the breathing pattern (breathe in – retain – breathe out) as well as the time interval between each breath. This regulation has a direct impact on the mind. Even without studying pranaayaam, we can see that a few minutes of observing our normal breath helps to quieten the mind.
Such is the power of breathing!

Our Mission
PinkTree Foundation is on a mission to assist patients suffering from any respiratory ailment. The Foundation will work with project partners at the grassroot level to improve lung health by enhancing awareness amongst patients, and driving change required to prevent the increasing prevalence of respiratory diseases in India.
The PinkTree Movement
The PinkTree movement envisions a drive around giving lung health the rightful place and importance across different forums and components of society.
The movement is a construct of defined cohorts amongst the doctor and their patients and supported by everyone else. This cohort is a channel of communication and engagement. If we educate and create awareness amongst individuals, and create a more compliant and responsive community, we will create a more lung healthy country.
PinkTree will act as the platform for all the action. It will shadow the desires of the doctor and create a conducive and efficient exchange for managing the disease better amongst patients.
The purpose of this movement is to gather all the stakeholders who are invested in the lung health of a patient, or an individual, on a common platform and create a throbbing ecosystem, which manages the lung health patient effectively.
The PinkTree ecosystem is where all the verticals including doctors, pharmaceutical companies, diagnostic laboratories, insurance firms etc. will converge over a period of time.

The PinkTree Foundation Action Plan
For us at PinkTree, patients interest comes first. Lung diseases vary widely, from allergies and infections to conditions like Asthma and COPD. Our foundation creates programs to help patients manage these complex diseases.
Targeting factors affecting Lung Health: Rural and Urban
India’s rapid economic growth has led to urbanization and increased pollution, with severe smog in the capital during winter harming lung health. Studies highlight urban challenges, while rural areas still rely on old cooking methods and bio gas fuels, posing health risks.
